List of Technology Available for Students
Students will be provided with a variety of technology resources that will help them gather, analyze, and present their information. The technology will be introduced to the class as the project unfolds. In the beginning of the PBL, students will be exposed to google.docs, LORE.com, and Khan Academy. These tools will support their reflections and content misconceptions early in the PBL. Weebly, Padlet, Powerpoint, and YouTube will be made available towards the middle of the PBL as students begin to create their final presentation. Skill sessions will also be made available to students throughout the unit, and these sessions will teach students how and when to use specific technological tools.
In order to help students present their presentations, the teacher will present a list of different tools that might be used to help the group present their final project. The list of tools comes from the Technology Skill Session and the teacher will expose the students to each option and give them choice as to what piece of technology they will choose to develop their presentation. During the presentation of the list of tools, the teacher will lead a discussion with the class to help them best decided what technology will be most useful. The students will have a Think, Pair, Share over the question, What tool will you use? and Why? to develop their design project to decide what technology is best to use.

Optional Skills Session
Students will be provided with optional skills sessions if they have weaknesses in areas of technology, group dynamics, nanotechnology, or math content. For example, if a student is struggling with surface area to volume ratio they will have a choice to participate in a supplementary activity to fill those knowledge gaps. They will be asked to choose to do at least 3 of the optional skill sessions during the PBL. A list of the optional skills sessions is at the bottom of the activities page.
